This concert is a wonderful meeting with the most famous rock band of all time: The Beatles. Quo Vadis was formed in 2006, with the main theater in the city of Mérida “José Peón Contreras” as the stage for its successful debut, the most important stage in southeastern Mexico.
Its nucleus is made up of four talented musicians of European origin. Being a versatile chamber group, they frequently incorporate renowned musicians to form a string, piano or guitar quartet.
The presentations they have had met with an immediate and very enthusiastic reaction from the public, they were recorded by the radio of the Autonomous University of Yucatan and published in the main newspapers of the Yucatan peninsula.
Do not miss this incredible presentation that is divided into two parts: First, the Quo Vadis quartet plays some of the most emblematic songs of said band; In the second part, a work by Leo Brouwer is presented, consisting of 7 arrangements of some songs by the Beatles in a version for string quartet and guitar.

Quo Vadis Classic Quartet
Quo Vadis was born in March 2006, with the main theater in the city of Mérida as the stage for its successful debut - "José Peón Contreras" - the most important stage in southeastern Mexico. Its core is made up of four talented musicians of European origin - Pawel Blaszkowski (Poland) and Tim Myall (UK) violins, Ella Shamoyan (Armenia) viola and Nadezda Golubeva (Russia) cello. Being a versatile chamber group, they frequently incorporate renowned musicians to form a string, piano or guitar quartet. The presentations they have had met with an immediate and very enthusiastic reaction from the public, they were recorded by the radio of the Autonomous University of Yucatan and published in the main newspapers of the Yucatan peninsula. Among his first achievements stand out: - Appearance as a soloist accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Yucatan (June 2006) - International Guitar Festival in Mérida, Yucatán (2006, 2007, 2008) - International Festival of Arts in Mérida , Yucatán (2007, 2009) - Cycle of Religious Music for Holy Week in Mérida, Yucatán (April 2007) -The Closure of the Autumn Cultural Festival 2007 - Quo Vadis as guest soloist of the Yucatán Symphony Orchestra - International Chamber Music Festival de la Colonia Tovar, Venezuela 2007 - Festival del Caribe, Santiago de Cuba, Cuba 2012 Quo Vadis recently recorded (at the same time as a world premiere) The Goldberg Variations by J.S.Bach in arrangement for string trio - an unpublished work by Federico Sarudiansky. “... for us - as foreigners - the idea of the ensemble arose as a response to an existential question that we asked ourselves after arriving in an unknown, distant and culturally different land such as Mexico. That question was: Quo Vadis? which translates from the Latin “where are you going?” or “what is your destiny? The four of us are dedicated to the search for perfection, sound, spirit, harmony and happiness...” Pawel Blaszkowski - violinist.
Nadezda Golubeva
He was born in the old Russian city of Kostroma. In 1994, she entered the St. Petersburg Conservatory at the cello faculty with Maestro S. Roldugin. In 1999 "Nadia" she was part of the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theater for opera and ballet, and later she obtained the place of cellist in the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2003, she joined the new Yucatan Symphony Orchestra in its cello section as Co-principal.
Pawel Blaszkowski
He was born in Poland. He started his musical studies at the age of seven in his hometown Zielona Gora with mgr. Anna Tulasiewicz. At the age of 16, she won first place in the National Chamber Music Competition in Lodz (Poland). Later he studied music in the same city under the direction of prof. Ivona Wojciechowska (David Oistrakh's student).
In the year 2000 he studied in the Netherlands under the Socrates-Erasmus project with prof. Christian Bor (Jasha Heifetz's assistant).
In 2001 he was a finalist in the XIV International Chamber Music Competition in Poland.
After graduating with excellence in 2002 he continued his studies in Finland with Anatoli Melnikov (student of the legendary Yuri Yankelevitch). In 2010 he was selected as the best performer at the Suolahti International Festival in Finland.
As a soloist, he carried out several projects, among which the tour with the Polish-German Youth Orchestra (Hungary, Germany, Czech Rep.) stands out. On two occasions he was invited as a soloist by the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra. He also performed as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Great Theater of Havana in the framework of the International Ballet Festival of Havana.
It has been presented at countless festivals in Poland, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela.
He frequently performs alongside renowned Polish-Mexican pianist Josef Olechowski.
He is the founder of the company "Quo Vadis Clásico" whose purpose is to promote classical and popular chamber music in various formats (Duo, Trio, Quartet, Ensemble).
He is a member of the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra and director of the Camerata Marista.
Tim Myall
Born in England, she studied at Trinity College of Music in London under the guidance of teachers Dona Lee Croft and Ester Boda Katona. He graduated in 1994 and later won a scholarship to continue his studies with Master Detlef Hahn. During this time he was the winner of numerous awards including The Sir John Barbirolli Prize for String Quartet, The Byram Jeejeebhoy prize for Outstanding Performance and The Alfred Gibson Memorial prize; since then he has worked with various orchestras such as The Brunel Ensemble, The BBC Concert Orchestra and Doyle Carte Opera. He has also participated in West End musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon and Beauty and the Beast. From 1997 to 2003 he worked for the Millenia Strings string section recording albums and sound tracks for film and television.
In 2003 he arrived in the Yucatecan capital as a member of the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra, in turn he was involved in numerous chamber ensembles, with which he appeared in some of the most important venues in the country such as the Palace of Fine Arts and events of international stature such as the Cervantino International Festival and the XX Colonia Tovar International Chamber Music Festival in Venezuela.
He is currently assistant concertmaster of the Yucatan Symphony Orchestra and teaches at the Yucatan High School.
Jaroslav Meluzín
Born in the Czech Republic, he began his music studies at the Brno Conservatory. He has performed in the most important cities of his country and has collaborated with prestigious orchestras, including the Ceske Budejovice Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Tromso in Norway. He is currently a member of the OSY.
For years in Mérida he worked with the Quo Vadis string quartet and performed as a viola soloist with the UADY University Orchestra.
Professionally on the podiums he cooperated with famous personalities such as Yehudi Menuhin, Placido Domingo, Sarah Brightman, Václav Hudecek, Pavel Porcl, Juan Diego Florez, etc.
