MAN IS THE BALANCE OF HIMSELF

Carlos Olivares Baró

“Vacío y aliento amagan en la piel“
J. Lezama Lima

The paintings of Lazer Fundora are human mouths pronouncing apparitions, the apparitions pronounced on the canvases of Lazer Fundora, are unrealities that we have all dreamed of, risky notes in the craters and torrents of foals that look at each other sweaty in the gallop of the expanse of untimely stars.

Lazer Fundora paints and the muffled smile of the world invites us with the softness of anger, to dance in the thicket of glass and mirror, Lazer Fundora does not paint: Lazer Fundora escorts our lonelinesses with fierce colors in lonelinesses with fierce dreamy colors: awakened kisses that prolong themselves and break like the shells of oriental tamarinds.

Lazer Fundora touches the tiny grains of the instant and the stillness is enlarged: ceremony cornered by the orphanhood we suffer.

"The Wall in the sun breathes, vibrates, undulates, a piece of living and tattooed sky: man drinks sun, is water, is earth"
Octavio Paz

Miró, Klee, Tápies, Penck, Basquiat, Bacon, Warhol, Cuenca....graffitti in dimensions marked by an informalism born in the whispers of pain: absence, nostalgia, look at what was, flicker that is embedded in a present sensory exile. Lazer Fundora continues in the sands of the Almendares: water that flows into his heart of a troubled boy. Influences that have been assimilated in random sketches stained with a sweet irony: tattoos on the markers irony: tattoos in the browns, in the reds and in the delicacies yellows.

Lazer Fundora disseminates his own suns: interior suns and the light is dismembered inslices of slimy rings for the gaze; to be an accomplice.
